"Earth From Above" is a serie of 15 documentaries (plus a special Copenhaguen episode) of 90 minutes each, presented by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and dedicated to the major challenges faced by our planet, It was broadcast on France 2 and France 3, French national television. "Earth From Above" brings the viewer beautiful High Definition imags of the Earth. Each episodes talks about a particular environmental challenge. The show "Earth From Above" is 4 years of shooting for 4 seasons and a total of 15 episodes plus special Copenhague ("A night for the Earth")

Today, one quarter of the food produced is thrown away without ever being consumed. Purchase, use , discard , have become everyday actions impact sometimes unsuspected . To talk , Yann Arthus -Bertrand and his team left Japan. There, as in France, and many rich countries , is consumed excessively and wasted a lot.
But we know that all the products we buy ? Where are they manufactured ? Where did they come from? What are their impacts on the other side of the world and become our waste? This new episode of Vu du Ciel is a journey to discover that the labels do not tell you .
Yann Arthus -Bertrand has chosen to show us an unknown Japan , as the island armored Gunkanjima , a former mining town , now abandoned ghost town . But this new episode will reveal the behind the scenes of our consumption : investigating the consequences of our electronic waste, the existence of a vast sea of plastic in the middle of the Pacific Ocean or on the ecological impact of the production of jeans we wear.
