Interview with the South Africa-born actor, who has starred in TV dramas The History Man and The Jury, and was one of the first gay celebrities to form a civil partnership. After starting his repertory career with Liverpool's Everyman theatre company and the RSC, he became one of the country's most respected actors, but also had a highly publicised addiction to cocaine.
